Brewery

Oproer cares about good, balanced, flavorful beers. We like hops, barrel aging and also experiment with wild yeast, bacteria and fruit. You can buy our beer in a growing amount of places in The Netherlands and other countries.

We brew our beer in Utrecht in our production brewery. We like to do collabs with our local and international friends.
Feel free to contact us if you want to sell our beer.

Craft beer bar

In the Oproer bar we created a space where everyone (including children) are feeling welcome. Of course we have all Oproer beers on our 14 taps and we provide a wide selection of quality (mostly organic) drinks, both with and without alcohol. Read more about it.

At Oproer we like to upcycle and re-use (second hand) materials and build things ourselves. We want to inspire people to care about the environment, beer and well-being of humans and animals. Be sure to visit our big outside biergarten: Biergarten 030!

Restaurant

The chefs at Oproer are proud to offer food made with creativity and care.
Our ingredients are organic out of care and concern for how our food is grown. They are also plant-based for the benefit of the environment and animals

We use seasonal and fresh ingredients from local farmers. The bread is made from the spent grains from the brewing process (bostelbrood).
As our beers are constantly evolving so is our food. Every month we create a new menu.

Our beers

We have a 25hl brewing system and a growing amount of beers available in kegs (20l) and bottles (33cl) all the time. Besides these regulars we have a lot of specials and limited releases. Check out Untappd for the full listing.

Oproer also often collaborates with other (international) brewers and local heroes, check them out here.
Our beers are widely available in the Netherlands and also in a growing number of other countries.

Opening hours

Our kitchen is open Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00 until 21:00. On Sundays from 15:00 to 21:00. The snack menu is available always during opening hours.
Check our Facebook page for information about upcoming events or opening hours during holidays.

Make a reservation or group visits

To make a reservation for a table in our restaurant, please fill out our online reservation form. Please write us in the notes section of the reservation form if you have any dietary restrictions.

Some important notes on reservations

  • You cannot make a reservation through the phone or e-mail.
  • Our reservation system stops accepting same day reservations at 15:00.
  • It’s not possible to make a reservation for an outside table.
  • If you plan to make a reservation with a group of 9 or more, please use our contact form.

Locations

Our craft beer bar and restaurant is located next to the train station Utrecht Zuilen, also easy to reach by bus, bike or legs from the city center. You can also park for free in front of the pub. We are part of a much larger building. Look for the big yellow door and you’ll find our entrance.

We are looking for a dishwasher to join our kitchen team for 2 to 3 evenings a week. Availability to work in the evenings between Wednesday and Sunday is required. We would like to encourage people between 18 and 30 years of age to apply.

We zijn op zoek naar een afwasser om ons keukenteam 2 tot 3 avonden per week te versterken. Bereidheid om tussen woensdag en zondag 's avonds te werken is vereist. We willen mensen tussen de 18 en 30 jaar aanmoedigen om te solliciteren op deze functie.

Oproer

80 kilo krieken (zure kersen), een blend van 3, ruim een jaar op eikenhout gerijpte wilde bieren (o.a. 3 verschillende soorten brett en meerdere bacteriëculturen). Nu nog twee maandjes geduld, dan op fles(!!).
Het eerste proefglas had al voorzichtig wat kersensmaak dus dat belooft veel lekkers!
